With James B. Goode, Kentucky Writers Hall of Fame Coordinator.

This discussion class will focus on short stories by the Kentucky Writers Hall of Fame inductees for 2018. The following writers and stories will be featured: Walter Tevis’s “Rent Control” (February); John Fox, Jr.’s “A Purple Rhododendron” (March); Allen Tate’s “The Immortal Woman” (April); and Annie Fellows Johnston’s “Their Ancestral Latch-String” (May). In addition, the class will take a look at their biographies and some literary criticism. The short stories listed above are required reading before each session; we will email copies of the stories to participants prior to the first class.
