With Jason Hill & Kelly Hill.

Finding the right way to start a story is a challenge: the right character, the right voice, the right scene. All are crucial to hooking a reader and keeping their interest. Everything that is true of beginnings is also true of endings, but many writers overlook the importance of making a good last impression. This workshop is designed to help students recognize the path toward the best ending for their story and how they can get there. [BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE] [ONE-TIME] [NEW!]

Jason Hill is on staff in Spalding University’s Creative Writing MFA Program, and his most recent story appears in the Fall 2018 issue of The Timberline Review. Kelly Hill’s short story “Dream Club” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and was also the winner of the 2015 William Richey Short Fiction Contest.
